Arsenal aim to end six-game winless Premier League run vs. Tottenham

Arsenal will try to end their six-game winless run against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League when the two teams meet at the Emirates Stadium in the north London derby on Saturday.
The last time Arsenal defeated Spurs in the league was on March 16, 2014, when Tomas Rosicky's second-minute strike -- a goal manager Arsene Wenger described afterward as one that "will go in my collection of great goals" -- held up as the winner in a 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham have won twice and held four times since then, and that run without a victory remains Arsenal's longest against their rivals in league competition.
And although Arsenal have won their last 10 Premier League games at the Emirates -- their longest winning run at home since the stadium opened in 2006 -- they have gone four home league games against Spurs without a victory, having last won on Sept. 1, 2013.
Spurs, meanwhile, haven't been particularly successful against Arsenal away from home. They have won only two of their last 32 away league games, dating to Jan. 1, 1986 -- a 3-1 win at Highbury on May 11, 1993 and a 3-2 victory at the Emirates on Nov. 20, 2010.
Yet no team has won more Premier League away games in 2017 than Tottenham, who have earned 10 victories away from home this year.
The last time they lost consecutive away league games was on Dec. 11, 2016, when a defeat at Manchester United followed one at Chelsea. They enter Saturday in danger of doing that for the first time this year, having also lost at Old Trafford on Oct. 28.
Meetings between the two teams in the Premier League have resulted in an average of 2.82 goals per game, with both teams scoring in five of the last six contests.
Both teams have scored on 34 occasions, more than any other fixture in the competition. And, in the last seven league games at the Emirates, the team scoring first has only won once -- a 1-0 win by Arsenal on Sept. 1, 2013 in which Olivier Giroud scored in the 23rd minute.
Tottenham's Harry Kane has scored in all five of his Premier League games against Arsenal and has scored six goals total, including a brace in a 2-1 win at White Hart Lane on Feb. 7, 2015.
Meanwhile, manager Mauricio Pochettino, hired by Spurs before the 2014-15 season, has yet to lose a north London derby in the Premier League -- though all three of his visits to the Emirates with Tottenham have ended in a draw.

Woman trapped in billionaire's New York lift all weekend

A woman has been rescued after spending an entire weekend trapped in her billionaire employer's lift, authorities said. The woman, reported to be 53-year-old Marites Fortaliza, entered the elevator at the Manhattan townhouse owned by investment banker Warren Stephens on Friday evening. Firefighters responded to an emergency call at 10:00 local time (15:00 GMT) on Monday and forced the lift open. Ms Fortaliza is recovering in hospital. According to a family statement reported by the Associated Press Ms Fortaliza was dehydrated but in a stable condition at Weill Cornell Medical Center. She has been "a valued member of the Stephens extended family for 18 years" and a family member accompanied her to the hospital, they are quoted as saying. Mr Stephens is the head of Stephens Inc, an investment bank based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Governor jailed for sexual assault

A former South Korean governor and one-time presidential contender has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison for rape, five months after he was controversially acquitted for the same crime. Ahn Hee-jung was jailed by an appeals court Friday for the rape and assault of Kim Ji-eun, his former assistant, Kim's lawyer Jung Hye-sun told CNN. Speaking after the verdict, Kim thanked her lawyers and witnesses who supported her case. "I can say goodbye to my torturous time when I was forced to live feeling like a witch to be burnt," she said. "I'd like to share all the help I received with other victims who still have to prove everything in their lonely fights. I'd like to send my solidarity to all the victims of sexual crimes whether they spoke about their cases but were ignored or couldn't speak about their issues and quietly watched my trial."
