Deaths occours as suicide bomber attacks Shia mosque in Kabul

A suicide bomber has blown himself up inside a Shia mosque in the Afghan capital Kabul, killing at least 27 people, according to the interior ministry.
The explosion triggered by a suicide bomber happened in Baqer-ul-uloom mosque in the Darul Aman area.
Kabul police chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi told reported that several people were also wounded. Police said more deaths were feared.
Several police vehicles raced from the scene, ferrying the wounded to hospital.

Deqa Dahir shot dead in Mogadishu: Somali troops detained

Four soldiers have been arrested in Somalia after a nine-year-old schoolgirl was shot dead in the capital, Mogadishu, police say. Deqa Dahir died and another girl was wounded when bullets hit their school bus while it was stuck in a traffic jam, Amnesty International said. Soldiers opened fire in an apparent attempt to clear the road for their vehicle, the rights group added. Somalia's president met Dahir's family as public anger over the shooting grew. A nanny convicted of murdering two children she stabbed at their luxury New York City apartment has been sentenced to life in prison. In sentencing Yoselyn Ortega, 56, the judge described her as "pure evil" before handing her the maximum term.
