Cuba's Fidel Castro dead aged 90


Fidel Castro, the Cuban revolutionary leader who built a communist state on the doorstep of the US, has died aged 90.

Raul Castro, Fidel's brother and current president of Cuba, announced his death on state television in Havana early on Saturday.

The leader of the 1959 revolution, which overthrew the US-backed dictator Fulgencio Batista, defied the US efforts to topple him for five decades, before ill health led him to make way for his brother Raul, 84, in 2006.

In his final years, Fidel lived in relative seclusion, but occasionally wrote opinion pieces or appeared to meet visiting dignitaries.

The "bestial" murder of two young women in Morocco is being investigated as a terrorism attack, Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said. Three men were arrested on Thursday over the murder of Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, 24, from Denmark, and Maren Ueland, 28, from Norway. The pair were found dead from knife wounds near a popular tourist spot on Monday. At least one of the suspects has been linked to an Islamist extremist group. Anthony Martial’s next goal is going to cost Manchester United €10 million

It’s no secret that Manchester United isn’t afraid to spend money by the bucketful. They spent a record-high amount on the transfer of Paul Pogba and they have the most expensive roster in all of Europe. Pretty soon, it appears, they are going to have to dish out an extra €10 million because Anthony Martial is playing too well lately. Since Martial arrived at Old Trafford last season, he’s been in the best stretch of goal-scoring of his career and, because of it, his transfer from AS Monaco is going to cost Jose Mourinho’s side just a little  bit more. Per Martial’s contract, if he scores on Thursday in the Europa League against his former rival Saint-Étienne, it will trigger a clause in his contract that forces Manchester United to pay up a €10 million bonus to his old club when he hits 25 goals for the Red Devils.
