Simon Cowell gets a Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Britain’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has gotten his well deserved Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
To unveil his Star, the music star was accompanied by his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, her son Adam and their son Eric. Also spotted at the unveiling were America’s Got Talent judges Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel.

Corona beer owner to pour $4bn into weed

Corona beer owner Constellation Brands is set to pour some $4bn (£3.15bn) into Canada's top cannabis producer, Canopy Growth, in a deal marking the largest investment in the industry to date. Last year, Constellation injected $200m into Canopy in a deal to produce a non-alcoholic cannabis-based beverage. The alcohol firm wants to capitalise on the growing legalisation of the drug. On news of the deal, Canopy's Toronto-listed stock surged 30%, while on Wall Street, Constellation's fell 6%. The two firms said the investment would allow Canopy to expand its business reach "in the nearly 30 countries pursuing a federally permissible medical cannabis programme". Canopy, which has the largest legal cannabis production footprint in the world, currently produces cannabis-based oils and soft gel caps, among other products. Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury to be held at Staples Center, Los Angeles

America's Deontay Wilder will defend his WBC world heavyweight title against Britain's Tyson Fury at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The arena, which is home to NBA sides Los Angeles Lakers and LA Clippers, has a 21,000-seat capacity. It was  confirmed on Saturday  that the bout between Wilder, 32, and Fury, 30, will take place on 1 December. Both Wilder and Fury are undefeated, with Wilder registering 39 knockouts from 40 fights. Fury, who returned from a two-and-a-half-year spell out of the sport in August, has not lost in 27 fights. Wilder has held the WBC title since January 2015 while Fury previously held the IBF, WBA, IBO and WBO heavyweight world titles. The venue for Deontay Wilder v Tyson Fury has been announced.
