Arsenal are eyeing a move for highly-rated Sunderland attacker Joel Asoro after stepping up their interest in the Swedish teenager this month

Asoro joined the Sunderland youth academy from Swedish outfit IF Bromma in 2015 and was promoted to the senior squad this season after impressing the clubs coaching staff.
The 17-year-old made his Premier League debut with a late substitute appearance during the Black Cats 2-1 defeat to Middlesbrough last month and has been named on the bench for their other two league games so far this season.
It seems that Asoro’s potential has attracted interest from several clubs as the Mirror claim that Arsenal are chasing the talented attacker along with the likes of Newcastle United.
The newspaper says that Arsene Wenger stepped-up his interest in the youngster after sending scouts to watch the starlet play for the Sweden Under-21′s during their 1-1 draw with Spain on Monday night.

Christmas tragedy.... Governor dies just few days after being sworn into office in an air crash

The governor of Mexico's central Puebla state, Martha Erika Alonso, has died in an air crash, just days after being sworn into office. Her husband, Senator Rafael Moreno Valle, was also killed. Reports from Mexico say the accident happened shortly after the aircraft took off from the city of Puebla. Ms Alonso, 45, became the first female governor of Puebla after hotly contested elections. She was member of the centre-right PAN party. The deaths were confirmed by Mexico's new President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador. In a tweet (in Spanish), President López Obrador expressed "deepest condolences" the relatives of the two politicians. Google drops $10bn battle for Pentagon data contract

Google has abandoned efforts to win a $10bn (£7.7bn) Pentagon cloud computing contract. The firm said the work might have transgressed principles it published in June limiting its artificial-intelligence-related activities. Thousands of its staff had previously protested against its involvement in a separate Department of Defense project. The tech firm revealed the latest decision hours after confirming it had exposed Google+ users' personal data. Cloud clash The Pentagon contract was for a project named after the Star Wars films - the Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure cloud (Jedi). Bids were due to be submitted on Friday. Securing the contract, which involves about a decade's worth of work, could have helped Google catch up with Amazon and Microsoft - the two market leaders in selling cloud computing services to governments and businesses.
